Yesterday finally arrived and we saw the Chilli Peppers Live at the Millenium Stadium. What a concert!

We got there at about 6.30 and so missed the first warm up act. Although from the comments in the bar Chicks on Speed weren't much to write home about. We did however see the godfather of soul - James Brown, who is an amazing entertainer.

The Chilli Peppers came on stage and played a 2 hour set the more recent stuff had the biggest cheer with the exception of "Under the Bridge". There are always weirdos at concerts but at sat just a couple of rows in front of us was a bloke who held his mobile phone in front of him for the whole concert relaying it to his friend at the other end of line. There was another guy just sat behind who managed to sleep through the entire James Brown set.

Bulldog DSL have confirmed my ADSL order and it looks like we'll have broadband at the new house in 6 days time. Hopefully the modem will arrive before then.

So all that's left is to plumb in the central heating, build a new kitchen, bathroom, strip the wallpaper and paint all the rooms, refloor downstairs, recarpet upstairs, oh and have a BBQ in the garden. So, pretty much everything, but atleast while that's happening I can surf the internet.

So we've finally moved in to our house in Cardiff, and so far it's a real treasure. The neighbours so far have been really friendly and welcoming. We've managed to get the phoneline reconnected and so have limited internet access. Also I managed to plumb in the washing machine by extending the water supply out to the garage (had great fun re-enacting moments from Terminator 2.)

Nevertheless, we've still got stacks to do the kitchen needs a serious upgrade, I think that the last time any work was done in there was around the time of the first man in space. Actually this applies to the bathroom aswell.

It seems that we are unable to get cable where we are so we're going to have to rely on BT Broadband, at the moment I've pretty much decided on Bulldog DSL as the new provider the only real choice is whether to go for 500 or 1000. 500 has always been fast enough to date so I'll probably go with that.

We spent most of yesterdays stripping the wallpaper in the hallway and have a patch about the size of an A3 sheet of paper left to peel off the walls. The aim is to then get this room painted by the weekend.

We were extremely lucky on Saturday night as we landed some tickets to see the WNO's production of Carmen at the New Theatre. Absolutely fantastic, the most memorable, aside from the obvious, were the crowd scenes which were simply stunning.
