So we've finally moved in to our house in Cardiff, and so far it's a real treasure. The neighbours so far have been really friendly and welcoming. We've managed to get the phoneline reconnected and so have limited internet access. Also I managed to plumb in the washing machine by extending the water supply out to the garage (had great fun re-enacting moments from Terminator 2.)
Nevertheless, we've still got stacks to do the kitchen needs a serious upgrade, I think that the last time any work was done in there was around the time of the first man in space. Actually this applies to the bathroom aswell.
It seems that we are unable to get cable where we are so we're going to have to rely on BT Broadband, at the moment I've pretty much decided on Bulldog DSL as the new provider the only real choice is whether to go for 500 or 1000. 500 has always been fast enough to date so I'll probably go with that.
We spent most of yesterdays stripping the wallpaper in the hallway and have a patch about the size of an A3 sheet of paper left to peel off the walls. The aim is to then get this room painted by the weekend.
We were extremely lucky on Saturday night as we landed some tickets to see the WNO's production of Carmen at the New Theatre. Absolutely fantastic, the most memorable, aside from the obvious, were the crowd scenes which were simply stunning.
